Is it headed to Cedar Springs for some paint or storage??? Close up of damage to BAYL 2012
Title:  Close up of damage to BAYL 2012
Description:  This shot shows the details of the damage to BAYL 2012 seen as it passes through Headland. The Bayline parks their locomotives overnight in Dothan AL in a part of town that is not the best in the area. There have been numerous occurances of vandalism and this appears to be the latest. It looks like someone was just trying to cause damage rather than gain access to the cab; note the window to the door is undamaged. With the size of the impact marks, I would say the damage was caused by rocks. While no railfan would ever do such, it's acts like this that make railroaders look at all of those near the property with suspicion.

Headed north
Title:  Headed north
Description:  This shot shows the Bayline Abbeville AL branch local headed north being led by a AN GP15-1 still in the classic AN scheme. Trailing behind the power is a long cut of chip hoppers for the chip mill in Abbeville, the life blood of this line. The rear of the train is passing over U.S. 431 in Headland. On the southbound trip, this area is a steep uphill climb and around a curve making for some good sounds of 4 axle power in notch 8.
