L&NW FP7A 49
Title:  L&NW FP7A 49
Description:  This sharp-looking FP7 was built in January 1950 as Western Pacific 805A. After 20 years of hauling the CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR between Salt Lake City and Oakland, WP traded it in to GE in August 1972. GE sold it to the Wellsville, Addison & Galeton the next month, but it never received a WAG number. It moved to the Louisiana & North West in 1976 and was photographed early the next year sitting outside the railroad's Gibsland engine house in very fresh L&NW paint. It was sold to the Portola Railroad Museum in July 1986 and restored as WP 805A.

Description:  Louisiana & North West caboose 216 is couples to F7A's 45, 44, and 46. The 46 was in the shop for some work, and the other two units had pulled it out. FP7 49 is parked next to the shop.

ex-Western Pacific CZ unit
Title:  ex-Western Pacific CZ unit
Description:  #49 was a long way from former stomping grounds. This was ex-Western Pacific FP7 #805A used on the California Zephyr. Luckily it was saved, shipped back to California and repainted back to WP colors and is at the Portola Railroad Museum.
