CSX 7603 departs the Florida Rock quarry
This is CSX K758, and it is the first train to be documented pulling out of the Florida Rock quarry. Construction on the spur into the quarry began nearly one year ago. They are still not loading rock; trains have come from Atlanta dropping off short sets of hoppers over the last few months. This full-length train of hopper cars pulled out and headed south toward Montgomery. The train crew commented that this was the "first or second time" a train had pulled out to head south, and was not sure where the empty hoppers were ultimately headed.
