| BYC. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken just East of the Brick Yard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1968. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad flanger #495746 and an unidentified switcher built by GM-EMD. In this context, the switcher is pushing the flanger like a snowplow up the East Slope of the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin. The dark clouds at the right might mean that more snow is on the way! |
