| Typical western steam shot of Denver & Rio Grande Western 4-6-0 ten wheeler #760 with DRGW baggage/REA car #560 in front of a wooden water tank. A note on the back states "Train 229 at Woody Creek, Colo. on the Aspen Branch." Built by Alco-Brooks in November of 1908 as DRG #763, it was renumbered and named DRGW 4-6-0ng 760 in 1924. Original specs - class T-29, 67" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, modest engine wt of 184,000 lb, and modest tractive effort of 29,093 lb. The loco was rebuilt to class T-31 and improving the tractive effort to 30,940 lb. In 1924, the loco was renamed DRGW #760. Sadly it was scrapped in 1945.
