PRR 3733, K-4S, 1956
Wood. Here is an image of a photo by Don Wood that was taken in South Amboy, New Jersey, in 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3733, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during February of 1920 and retired in April of 1956 after 36 years of faithful service. In this context, it's just departed the South Amboy Station with a seven-car passenger train bound for Bay Head Junction. Note the three guys at the left taking their own shots of the action. Edward Kaspriske Collection.
