WB. Here is an image of an official photo that was taken near Marysville, Pennsylvania, on 30 May 1945. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6111, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during May of 1942 and retired in December of 1953 after just 11 years of revenue service. In this context, it's just crossed the Rockville Bridge with a passenger train on its way to Altoona and points West. William E. Burket Collection. |
