Desolate Wyoming location for this lone Union Pacific 4-6-0 ten wheeler #1252 and its caboose. Built by Cooke in October of 1890 as UP 1476 but not delivered until November 22, of 1890 (serial #2053). The loco was renumbered in 1915 to UP 1242. It served until retirement in Augsut of 1955 when it was donated to the city of Cheyenne, WY. It is now a static display there in Lions Park. This is an Arthur E. Stensvad photo. |
