Aerotrain. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken at the Passenger Station in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1956. Shown here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. After changing both engine and train crews, it will soon depart for Johnstown as part of its daily sojourn from New York City to Pittsburgh and back.
