Entrance to WSOR Roundhouse Office
This roundhouse has been in use since it was built in 1905 by the Chicago Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad (became known as Milwaukee Road). It serviced steam locomotives in its early years and then switched to diesels. After the breakup of the Milwaukee Road, the property became part of the shortlived Wisconsin & Calumet (WICT). In 1992, Wisconsin & Southern acquired the WICT property including the Janesville Terminal. Finally in 2012, WSOR was sold to the Watco Companies but retains the name.
