New Orleans Public Service Inc. (NOPSI) streetcar 433 was displaying a DESIRE route sign as it sat on a flat car at Southern Scrap Material Co. in New Orleans. The 433 was one of 50 cars (400-449) built by the Southern Car Co. of High Point, North Carolina in 1915 for the New Orleans Railway & Light Co., one of NOPSI’s predecessors.
