LAMCO SD10's 316 and 315 were photographed in the ICG's STUYVESANT DOCKS YARD, located along the Mississippi River in New Orleans. The locos were on their way from the ICG's shop in Paducah, Kentucky to the Liberian-American-Swedish Mining Co. in Liberia; and would be loaded on a ship here in New Orleans. The 316 was frame number 5278-1, originally UP 782 and then UP 457; while the 315 was frame number 5244-7, built as UP SD7 781, and was later UP 456. The placards attached to the handrails provided the units' weight and shipping information to Buchanan, Liberia. |
