Nice b&w photo from the original negative taken by an unknown rail fan of the circa 1926 ALCO-GE built T-3a boxcab #282. On this day in 1954, it's heading up the Pacemaker train while it rolls through Spuyten Duyvil, Bronx, NY. Specs - total of ten T-3a class were built, wheel arrangement of B-B+B-B, top speed of 75 mph, engine weight 285,000 lb, tractive effort of 71,000 lb. The exact day in 1954 was not given.
