Many of the railroad crossings in Rome, and the Utica area, are protected by regular traffic signals as opposed to bells and gates. The signals that warn motorists are coordinated with a signal that the engineer can see across the road, and once traffic has stopped they'll proceed. Here they're about to cross route 825. |
