| CN 2173 C40-8W handles a UP high priority auto parts freight with two boxcars through South Dallas bound for the General Motors plant in nearby Arlington. CN 2173 was delivered to Santa Fe as ATSF 823 in August 1992 dressed in Superfleet red and silver, becoming BNSF 823 on April 2, 2003 and spending the next several years in and out of storage. Canadian National purchased this unit and applied a fresh coat of black, white, and red along with a new number in January 2012. Note red paint has begun to peel on the engineers side window. |
