East of k'burg DPU 9170 fades into a curve leading to the long straightaway going into Keenesburg proper. About here is where the slope stiffens a bit and wesbounds rapidly lose the speed they have gathered passing Roggen. The 'hill' in the background is auctually flanks of Pike's peak way down in Colorado Springs..from here, still a good 60 miles off..kind of makes me think of the area around Salt Lake, for some reason... |
