Robert Beichler	General	The engine crews didn't like these locos because they were not safe. With the crew split they had no way to know what was happening. The big reason they were scaped was that if the king pin on the main driver let go the driverod would swipe the engineer and cab off the engine. Still they are amazing.	12/10/2013 11:16:22 AM

ERIE 4-6-0 #875 camelback
Here is the camelback version of the 4-6-0 ten wheeler, a much different configuration. Do note the extended cover for the fireman in the back. Built by either the Erie Susquehanna shops or Baldwin between 1891-96, this originally was New York, Lake Erie & Western #260, a class G-8, but was transferred to the Erie RR at a later date.
