NSP coal train Editors Pick!
This is how we get our power here in the metro area. Cuts of coal cars are shoved into the power plant. Notice that the train is running on the sidewalk!

Zach Pumphery General You know what they say, "If you don't like my driving...get off the sidewalk!" 1/2/2006 7:33:53 PM
Ron Moraca General Nice photo, Doug. I dunno if I'd like living there because then I'd be right in the action, especially if I had a Chevy Suburban or Dodge Durango in my driveway!! Congrats on your photo being picked as an Editor's Pick! 4/11/2008 1:16:11 AM
Jacob Nelson General Would be a neat run to catch 1/30/2009 10:09:37 PM
TJ Gaspers General I miss that road BEFORE the curb was put in in the mid 90's and it was true street-running- you could drive right down the tracks (still can drive on em, did it the other day to startle a friend of mine!) Sadly, that line is all dried up now that Riverside Powerplant is natural gas... Even the landmark smoke stack is soon to fall! Take pics while ya can! 6/18/2009 1:24:24 PM
