This locomotvie was built by Alco-Schenectady in August of 1929 as CRIP 4-8-4 #5005. Originally it had 70" drivers but was rebuilt in the late 1930's and given 74" drivers for use on high speed passenger trains. After nearly 23 years of serivce, the loco was sold for scrap in August of 1952. Original specs - 69" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine weight of 437,000 lb and tractive effort of 65,669 lb.
