Title:
PRR 84000
Description:
MEC #149 & crew somewhere in Maine. This was a Class N 4-6-0 blt in July of 1892 renumbered to 274 in 1900 and scrapped in June of 1912. CYLs were 19x24 with 57 inch drivers. I think the rolling stock is more interesting than the locomotive... In particular the RW&O box car ahead of the caboose. According to Wikipedia this was probably the Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburg RR which had clover leaf logo. It operated from 1842 to 1891. It’s nickname was Rotten Wood and Old Rusty Rails... (Sort‘a like the B&ML years ago as The Broken and Mended Line.) /DL
