This job was allocated to a GM&O crew from the former GM&O Tennessee Division. The 2nd section had a Grenada/Water Valley District Crew. The siding at Carroll was 2,423 ft. long. Photo by Fred Goff.

GM&O Engines
Title:  GM&O Engines
Description:  Four months after the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio was merged into the Illinois Central Gulf, things hadn't changed much at Bogalusa; but this wouldn't last long. All of the GM&O RS2's were retired between 1973 and 1975, mostly replaced with GP10's; and the GM&O GP38's moved to other parts of the ICG. (month OK, approximate day)

Untouched GM&O
Title:  Untouched GM&O
Description:  In October 1982 I went to Chicago for a trade show. It started on Monday, and I had some time to spend over the weekend. One place I went was Homewood, south of the city, to check out the IC. This unit was in the middle on a three unit set leading a northbound train into the yard. Still in full GM&O ten years after the merger.
