Description:  #6764 MLW 1958...ex VIA/Canadian National same number. In 1958 trailing cab unit #6758 was upgraded to FPA2u by exchanging the original Model 244 prime mover for a 12-251B. However the rebuilt cab kept the FA2 configuration of air compressor aftercooler so no venting was necessary below the radiator intake. Both were repainted last year.

Description:  While listed as an FPA-4, the #6758 is actually an FPA-2u. In 1958, CN had two FPA-2s and two FPB-2s rebuilt to FPA-4 spec, including installing an 1800hp 12-251. The other A-unit and both B-units are long gone, making #6758 the last surviving FPA-2 of either Alco or MLW manufacture.
