PRR 6005, EF-25A, 1966 |
Description: |
Winter Day. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in February of 1966. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6005, #6502, and #6032. All are rated at 2,500 horsepower. #6005 and #6032 are EF-25A's built by GM-EMD: #6005 in March of 1965 and #6032 in April of 1965. #6502 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in April of 1965. They're about to pass under the 4th Street Footbridge on their way West toward the Altoona Passenger Station. Visible in the background are some of the PRR's Passenger Car Shop buildings, now abandoned. |
