This GMRC engine was built in 1910 by the Canadian Locomotive Company for the Grand Trunk Railway, this engine became Canadian National No. 911, in class E-10-a, in 1923. These locomotives had 21x26-inch cylinders, 63-inch drivers and a boiler pressure of 170 pounds. They exerted 26,000 pounds of tractive effort and weighed 141,800 pounds. An E-8 GTR class. Eventually the loco was sold to the Stasburg RR in 1972. An unidentified rail fan took this photo. |
