Description:  Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Chicago, Illinois, in August of 1964. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8585, an ES-15MS boiler-equipped road switcher built by GM-EMD in September of 1953 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. The numbers of the two PRR passenger coaches are not recorded. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-51).

Description:  PRR GP7 8585 at about 55th Street in Chicago, Illinois on October 10, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in September 1953 (c/n 18630) on EMD Order 5291, it became PRR 5957 and later PC 5957. It appears to be equipped with a steam generator. From the PRR's viewpoint, this is the front of the locomotive.
