Album Info:This album shows a selection of shots taken at the site where George Cohen's had their Cransley, Kettering scrapyard. Here, a great many steam locos were cut, as well as some of the early unsuccessful diesel types, shunters, carriages, wagons and London Underground stock, to name but a few. The yard probably closed in the early 1980s, and was latterly used as a car scrapyard. A planning application has been submitted to the local council, for modern warehousing to be erected here shortly.

Looking to the WNW, roughly from the trackbed of the Cransley branch which skirted the scrapyard along its' right hand edge in an arc. The scrappings were in front of the trees, with the branch continuing through them.
