Right spot
Title:  Right spot
Description:  I had taken recycing up to the roll offs, and was looking around to see if anything was up. I heard a hi rail truck get track and time from Watts to Gentry, then a half hour later give it up. I went to Gentry to see if there was something waiting. Id just parked near the crossing, when the gates started down. This was the shot I grabbed from the car, a southbound oil train.

Coming along
Title:  Coming along
Description:  We had gotten out of "stretchy class," the senior light aerobics we do several days a week, and started to Gentry for breakfast. As I crossed over the tracks on Cheri Whitlock, I saw the triangle of lights of a northbound approaching. We beat him to Davidson Rd, and were able to catch the 181 there, passing the detector at MP 226.7, barely visible at left. A pair of CP GEs is doing the honors this morning.

Looking down the old siding
Title:  Looking down the old siding
Description:  I was again out giving the fresh water tank a good slosh-see the shot from the previous day-and again got a flashing yellow when I hit the crossing at Davidson Rd. I turned a little more quickly, and was able to get down to Jefferson St. Were looking down the siding that until maybe the first of July was used for stowing covered hoppers en route to other destinations. Now the switches have been removed at both ends. This was a frequently used piece of track. Dont know why it was taken out of service.

DPU and a water tower
Title:  DPU and a water tower
Description:  The Siloam water tower in town is in good proximity to the tracks. Too bad the name of the town doesnt face the tracks. The DPU, a KCSM/KCS duo, likely added at Pittsburg-and ahead of the BNSF unit that came with the train from Wyoming-pushes for now, but will shortly be holding back the 131 cars as it drops the 1.5% into Watts
