Album Info:We took the North Shore Scenic train ride from the Duluth Union Station and were lucky enough to be in the beautiful full dome car, Sky View (nee-ATSF Big Dome).

Description:  Decked out in its former Soo colors was our locomotive for the afternoon North Shore Scenic RR ride. The Lake Shore RR museum owns the loco but loans it to the North Shore Sceneic RR for their tourist trains.

Description:  Earlier in the morning I caught this beautiful full dome car sitting in anticipation for the afternoon trip. Originally built by the Budd Company as "Big Dome" for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe, it bounced from one roster to another after the ATSF.

Description:  After reaching the farthest point on the afternoon excursion, the conductor went to set the switch for a run-around for the return trip. Being in the dome car next to the loco gave us a full view of the action!
