Description:  The Penn Central GG1 #4882 (nee-PRR 4882) was officially retired on 10/31/1983 and eventually donated to the museum. This massive and powerful locomotive still ranks as one of my all-time favorite locomotive models. Sadly it needs a new coat of paint.

NH Grill-Dining Car #953 - New Haven
Title:  NH Grill-Dining Car #953 - New Haven
Description:  This poor side photo of the New York, New Haven & Hartford grill dining car #953, doesn't do it justice. It was built by Pullman-Standard in June 1949. It was a less-formal alternative to the full dining cars and twin-unit diners that many railroads owned. It passed to Penn Central and Conrail, serving as part of the wreck train in Selkirk, N.Y. and donated by Conrail in 1997.

CSS Interurban #15 - Chicago, South Shore & South Bend
Title:  CSS Interurban #15 - Chicago, South Shore & South Bend
Description:  Although not a NYC item and relegated to the far corner of the property, this is an important piece of northern Indiana transportation. It is Chicago South Shore and South Bend interurban car #15 built by Pullman in 1926. It was the very first interurban to be lengthened to 78 feet by adding a new section in the middle. Sad to see the condition it is in now.
