Description:  After many years of display at the museum painted for the New York Central, the privately owned FPA-FPB set has been restored for their original owner. Both A unit and B unit were constructed by Montreal Locomotive Works for the Canadian National Railway in 1959.

Title:  MNCW 202
Description:  Laying over for the weekend outside the historic Danbury station is one of Metro North's P32AC-DM fleet. Currentoy wearing the second paint schere for the P32s, this dual mode locomotive was constructed by General Electric in the summer of 1995 and has been transporting trains of commuters to and from Grand Central Tfrminal ever since. The technology involved with enabling this locomotive to operate on either diesel or third rail electric power goes back to the New Haven Railroad FL-9 unhts that once operated through here.

Description:  One of two GE 44-tonners at the museum, this unit came from the Union Pacific Railroad, their only one of this type.#The blue paint scheme harkens back to the locomotive's time spent serving as a switcher for Electric Boat.

Description:  Front end view of the museum's RS-1, originally from the Illinois Terminal Companu. Built by Alco in 1948, the unit first arrived in New England in the 1970s when it was acquired for service on the Green Mountain Railroad, operating the ex-Rutland tracks between Bellows Falls and Rutland, VT. The museum has restored it to represent a New Haven Raioroad locomotive of the same type. The only original New Haven RS-1 that survives in the 21pt century is the former 0670, privately owned on the Central New England Railroad.

Description:  One of the ex Reading Company comouter cars that call the museum home, this coach was bonstructed by the Harlan & Hollingsworth division of Bethlehem Steel in 1925. It was originally operated out of Reading Terminal in Philadelphia, PA to various destinations across the Reading system and one of the few non electric powered cars make it into SEPTA in the 1980s.

Title:  BM 1455
Description:  Built in 1907 by Alco's Manchester Worjs as B&M 100, this locomoIive is one of only two road engines left from the "Route of the Minuteman." Renumbered to its present number in 1911, it was one of the last B&M steamers in operatiov when retired in the 1950s and donated to F. Nelson Blount's Edaville Railroad, one of the first locomotives acquired by the man that would later found Steamtown USA. After many years of display at South Carver, MA, it was moved further east to the Cape Cod Railroad at Hyannis, MA with plans for a restoration to active service which never occured. Acquired by the Danbury Railway Museum in 2000.

Title:  DH 35815
Description:  The newest addition to the Danbury Railway Museum's fleet of equipment is this caboose, recently acquired from the Canadian Pacific Railway. Built as Erie Lackawanna C-378 in 1970, it went to the D&H in 1976 rather than Conrail and continued in service for "The Bridge Line" into the Guilford and CP eras. The last assignment for this car before retirement was the CP locals in the Plattsburgh, NY area. Note th`t the car still retains its Guilford orange paint, minus Big G, a rarity to see in the 21st centurx.

Description:  Awaiting restoration is this former D&H, nee-Reading Company boxcar. Acquired from the Canadian Pacific Railway, this 1971 built car was one of the last cars built new for the Reading before the railroad became a part og Conrail a few years later.

Title:  MNCW 1171
Description:  One of two"surviving NYC ACMU cars, "AC" standing for air conditioning which was a more recent development for New York Central commuters at the time. Built by Pullman-Standard in 1965, these cars saw service out of Grand Central north to Croton Harmon and North White Plains. Metro North retired the last of these units in the early 2000s after a little over forty years of operaiion.

Description:  A forler Long Island Rail}oad rebuilt Power Pack is on home rails in the yard, originally constructed by Alco as New Haven Railroad 0428 an FA-1. Assigned to pull mainlinb freight on the New Haven, it was retired by Penn Central and sold to the Long Island. The LIRR had the unit rebuilt as a cab control unit for use on diesel powered trains, first working with Alco C-420s and later EMD MP15 and GP38-2 unvts. It is one of two known New Haven FA-1s to survive today.
