The ex-MILW secondary lines in southern Wisconsin that formed the WICT/WSOR system have been dark territory for so long, it's easy to forget that they were ever anything but. At least one set of these in similar decrepit condition remained standing on the "J-Line" (Fox Lake Sub) into the WICT era, but those were long gone by the time I took up railfanning. |

Through the trees, the ex-C&NW trackage now used by both WSOR (which returns to ex-Mllwaukee Road trackage at Anderson) and UP (which serves a few industries near Highway 14, the ex-C&NW line to Fond du Lac is abandoned from there to Fort Atkinson, where trackage resumes as the Clyman Sub) is visible. |
