Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (R to L) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2006 and another "BF" Class unit whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. #2006 was constructed in August of 1951 and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. In this context, this A-B duo is rockin' 'n' rollin' with a Pennsy TrucTrain. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.

Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5791 and three more "EP" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #5791 is an EP-22 constructed in May of 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. Note that St. Louis's mammoth "Gateway Arch To The West" is still under construction. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9614, #2425, #2514, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #9614 is an AF-16 built by the American Locomotive Company in May of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966. #2425 is an AF-25 constructed by ALCo in February of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. And #2514 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in September of 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower.

Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (R to L) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9594 and at least five more "BF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #9594 was constructed in April of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. Looks to me like they've all been marshalled for the Recycling Center . . . alas. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7059, #7085, and #7096. All are EFS-17M's built by GM-EMD in 1956: #7059 was built in October, while #7085 and #7096 were built in November. They're passing BANKS Tower with a train of empty hoppers bound for Altoona and the coal mines in Western Pennsylvania. Blue Mountain dominates the distance.
